I thought it came out cute. I bought all the pieces to the cabinet. It was pretty easy to install. I put all three together in probably about an hour in a half with a drill. Keep in mind I’m not a handy gal. Deliver was quick. Had mines about a month now and it is holding up great.
My wife and I love the wine cabinets from Winsome! They are perfect for our one bedroom apartment in the city. They are very easy to assemble. As someone mentioned, they do have a tint of cherry to them. After assembly though I felt like the red didn't stand out so much. I recommend you use power tools to help put them together, just makes things easier on your arm. Instead of going with the three though; which was tough not too, we decided to add a wine fridge instead. It was perfect because it stood 30" inches tall like the cabinets.
Of the the three units, this one is a tie for the hardest to put together. If you have put together complex Ikea furniture, this will be a breeze. If a 5 piece book case gives you fits, avoid this. I found it pretty easy, most of the screws can be out in by a power driver. Some hints to make it easier:1. The instructions tell you to wait to put the backs in place until you have the first three shelves attached to the first side. Put them in ad a "dry fit" to make sure as you tighten down the shelves the slots align with the back.2. Use a power drill with a chuck set low to start to put as many of the screws in as you can to save you forearm.3. Follow the instructions.3.1 Put a furniture pad (not included) on the legs if you plan to put it on hard wood.3.2 Use a piece of paper or credit cart to move the drawer stop aside to put the drawer in for the first time.4. Clean up and fill the cabinet with wine.5. Drink a glass of wine and enjoy your new cabinet.(Note: the grid is 1/4 inch plywood, it looks and works fine, you are not storing transmissions in there.)
This is beautiful in my living room. It's about half full of wine right now. The drawer at the top is great for storing wine accessories. My only complaint was that it took a lot of patience and a glass of wine to assemble. Maybe two glasses. Some of the screws were difficult to reach, but it was worth it!
Looks better than I expected. It was easy to assemble. I will be adding a second one as soon as I can save enough to fill this one with wine - or stop drinking every bottle I buy :)
