Winsome Wood's new Bailey collection of leaning home office furniture in black finish is contemporary and compact. The 5 tier shelving unit can stand alone or be paired with the desk in a modular fashion. The shelves range in size from 13.5 (bottom) - 4.0" (top) deep and are 23" wide. Constructed of wood, is sturdy, durable, and can be matched with Leaning Desk# 29330 and Airlift Stool # 93329 for a complete workstation. Overall Shelf size is 25.75"W x 14.4"D x 74.6"H. All shelves are 23" wide with a gradual depth increase starting with the 1st Shelf = 4", 2nd Shelf = 6.5", 3rd 8.8", 4th = 11.2", 5th = 13.5". The distance between each shelf is 14.4". These shelves have been amazing! I have completely overloaded them with heavy books and after several moves they are still holding up to the beating I've given them. I have tons of cookbooks, dictionaries, photo albums, and more on every shelf. The top shelf doesn't hold much, but these are extremely sturdy and look the same as when we first bought them. When I say I have overloaded these shelves I mean I have a ton of hardcover books and every shelf was stacked with books for years. The shelves have not sagged at all even with the heavy load. I highly recommend this product!

Wow - beautiful and modern! The quality of these shelves was even better than I expected. We bought two, and they arrived very well packaged with each shelf, with wrapping around each shelf to prevent damage during shipping. I put each one together in about 40 minutes by myself with no help needed. Follow the instructions and it will go smoothly. The hex screws are a bit of a pain (I wished it was regular screws so I could use my power screwdriver) but assembly was relatively easy. The shelves are very sturdy once put together.

Update: This shelf has held up great over the past 5 years, however I did recently try to move it (which I never had before) and come to find out it had stuck to the paint on the wall from the top portion that leans again the wall and ripped the pain clean off! I have other things leaning against the walls that haven't done that so I'm not sure why the shelf would, it is heavier so maybe that's why. Needless to say that the shelf is not being relocated until we decided to repaint and then I'll be sure to place something as a barrier between the shelf and the wall.This shelf looks beautiful in our living room and we've received a ton of compliments on it being so much more interesting then a regular shelf. Only problem was after being in the same place for a few years I tried to move it and the top where it leans against the wall pulled off a strip of paint, easy fix is just to place a barrier between the two which I will do when we repaint... for now I just put it back in the exact same place so nobody can tell the paint is missing. =)

This bookcase is just as good as some pricier ones.I searched weeks for ladder bookcases . Very happy with my choice.The box was heavy and long so ladies will need help to lift or carry.Came packaged really well. Each piece was wrapped separately with all the correct hardware.Once all the pieces are unpacked, (a little time consuming) it will take about 30 to 40 minutes to assemble.A small spot on one of the shelves was missing the finish but a touch of black marker did the trick and is not noticeable.Not flimsy. Nice and sturdy. I don't know what the weight limit is but I put six large text books on one shelf and it's holding up just fine.I placed these bookcases against a wall with a 55 inch TV in between. They look sleek and stylish.Good quality for the price.

Let me start by saying I thoroughly love the look of this product. It looks great leaning against my wall and I am happy I purchased this, I think?! I am a little conflicted with my loving the look to the overall quality of the product. The unit was super easy to put together. That is even though the directions were somewhat too simple. It took a little guess work, and I guess common sense to ensure that mutliple identical looking pieces were in the right spot. Once you figure that out its a joy to put together. After placing it on the wall, I noticed the shelves were not level, so I attempted to gently slide this unit up to achieve the desired level shelves. Well the moment I moved this thing I saw a black mark on my wall. Now, to clarify I did not slide this thing hard by no shape form or fashion. It wasn't leaning for more than two minutes when I decided to move, but low and behold it left a black mark on my wall. After moving to the right angle noticed that there is no way to make the shelves 100% level, which isn't too bad because they are probably about 80 to 85 degrees, so nothing is going to slide or move. I placed all my figurines and pictures on this unit and I love the look. I am just slightly upset about the black mark and the fact the shelves aren't completely level.
