For the price, I don't think you're going to find a better nightstand. Take your time with assembly and check all your parts, but the whole thing went together for me in about 20 minutes or so. Everything has a solid feel to it, not like the cheap particle board furniture you can get at Wal-Mart or IKEA.Hinge for the cabinet door is just a little loose, but otherwise the whole unit is solid. Will probably glue down a couple of the panels to prevent excess movement since they are thin wooden panels in grooves, and not physically attached. Since none are rally on moving parts, I don't anticipate any issues, I just want to make sure it stands up to the test of time, since I plan to now buy a second one for the other side of my bed.
This thing is junky particle board. 1 star for that. It's cheap and has 5.5" clear space over the bottom of the drawer. 5 stars for that because...If you drill a hole in the side you sleep on big enough for a 2" ABS coupling and if you drill another hole in the back big enough to pass an electrical cord through then you can set a Phillips Dreamstation CPAP machine in the drawer (maybe other kinds, too) Route the hose and the low voltage wire through the holes and close the drawer. Screw in a hook on the side to hang your mask on. It doesn't make it silent but it makes it *LOTS* quieter and nobody has to see it and you won't keep knocking it off the dresser to bounce on the floor (cuz its gonna die one of them times). Distilled water bottles and a travel bag and filters all that jazz fit in the bottom just fine. Consider it a prototype. Consider it in walnut. Consider it a reason to buy that new saw!
