I work from home and have two printers, one color, the other b&w. At present I have them side by side on a table, but was happy to see this stand that made it possible to stack the printers without an "industrial" feel. This really is an attractive stand and it seems to be sturdy. The file drawer (letter size) will accommodate most of my papers (the legal sized papers will fold, and the drawer seems deep enough that the added bulk shouldn't be a problem). It's meant to be a keyboard stand as well, but I will be taking the shelf for the keyboard off the unit to make room for a printer. Now, that covers the functionality aspect of this stand. As for the ease of putting it together, that's another issue altogether. I am familiar with putting furniture together, having "built" at least 10 other pieces before, but never have I encountered anything like this. Not one of the pieces is marked. As others have said, you have to compare each piece with the parts page and hope you have looked at the picture correctly. I did manage to do that, the first day. After that trauma, I put the thing away and moved on to another unit I had purchased. Everything is done by picture; there are no written instructions. Others mentioned that they had put a panel in wrong so I was aware of that and got it right (thank you to all who shared your "mistake"), but for the most part if you have the right pieces and are sort of good at puzzles, it goes together without too much fuss. I have probably done something wrong enough that the drawer does not pull out smoothly, but frankly it just isn't worth dismantling it to figure out where I went wrong...it works, that's enough.I'm not sure I would have bought this had I known about the lack of marking of pieces or good diagrams, but now that it's together, I'm glad I got it. A mechanically inclined person will probably not have any problem, at all.

Perfect size for holding both my printer and a pullout drawer for a laptop then still room for paper right above the file drawer! Very organized and very handy! Was in perfect condition upon arrival. I paid someone to assemble for me...i dont trust my assembly skills!

This printer stand is great. I purchased it to replace a big, clunky printer stand that took up way too much room in my home office. It has a very small footprint, but very functional - beside the printer on the top, it has a slide-out shelf, a bigger shelf under that which is good for storing paper, and a nice big drawer that handles letter-sized hanging folders The wood is attractive, and it is well-made, also was easy to assemble. Great value for the price.
Pleased to see that most all of this printer stand was indeed real wood, and not pressed board or cardboard. The finish went really well with the Antique Walnut Console Table that I use with my laptop. The size give ample room for a good sized printer. I use the keyboard shelf as just an extra shelf. The file drawer is just excellent - with the way that it is designed with an extra caster under the drawer to support heavy files, it looks like it will last a good long time. For the price you can not go wrong. It does take a little patience to put together - we did put at least two of the pieces on backward, but fortunately we were able to unscrew them without harm and redo it correctly. Bottom line - go for it!
The instructions could certainly be clearer, but they weren't that difficult to puzzle out. The key is to keep track of the slots in the various pieces. These accommodate the cabinet back and the drawer bottom. Assembly took me +/- 1 hr, from opening the box, to debris in the trash. The finish could be better, and mine is noticeably darker and browner than the picture. Since most of it is covered up with the printer and what not, it's acceptable. But the finish isn't what you'd want on a coffee table. It's plenty solid enough for what it does, but I wouldn't want to stand on it.Something that might matter to some, but not most, is that the drawer is too small for ledger paper.Still, it's a very reasonable thing for it's cost and function. I like that is made of solid wood, and not MDF or particle board.I just listed every 'flaw' I found with this, and I wouldn't think twice about buying it again if I had the need.
