The box on arrival was scary to look at, and I expected it would take a long time to assemble, especially as I unloaded the many pieces. THEN...out came the parts and screw box. WOW...not much in there! Looking at the various wood components, I was shocked to see that many of the pieces had been preassembled with smaller components. The only thing I had to do was wrestle the pieces into place, insert and tighten screws! Amazing! The whole system came together and was completed in 35 minutes by myself. It probably would have taken a lot longer if I had relied on the included hex driver, but I used a small drill with the appropriately sized hex insert. Not a scratch or misaligned part anywhere on the cart. Everything came together extremely smoothly, and while some pieces were not marked with part numbers, the easy-to-follow illustrations clearly delineated the parts for easy recognition. The cart itself is beautiful and fits in our kitchen very well, while really standing out aesthetically. The drawer and lower doors operate very smoothly. The wheels simply glide and the brakes hold well. The wheels were able to be installed without any help, just a little body weight pushing them in.I don't have the right words for how pleased I am with this purchase and the value for the low, extremely reasonable price. Absolutely exceptional, and I wouldn't hesitate for a second to buy again if it was accidentally damaged or destroyed.I give it my HIGHEST recommendation. Look no further, you have found "IT"! A+++UPDATE MAY 2019I have now been actively using the Cart for nearly six months and it is still absolutely perfect. It has been a godsend for our kitchen and gets literally daily use. Perfect design and construction is holding as it was as new.Reiterating my STRONG Five Star recommendation. This cart is the bomb!UPDATE NOVEMBER 2019Now a year later I am still in love with this cart! I use it daily and run it through many torture tests. It remains like new and I couldn't be more pleased. If this ever broke for some reason, I would have no hesitation buying again! Perfect. Again...a STRONG FIVE STAR Recommendation!!
I am very impressed with this cart/table. It fits so nicely into my medium-small kitchen space. I actually ruined one of the heads on one of the screws (they go in tight) and had to email/fax Winsome Trading, Inc. for a replacement and was amazed at how quickly they sent me a kit with all the screws! I dipped the screw tips in some liquid soap when I finished assembling it and it when together perfectly. It is a heavy unit and they claim it’s all Beach hardwood, no pressed board, and I believe it. Great cart and a very fun little project. - ScottP.S.: The cart is 33 1/4" height with the wheels compared to my counter top which is 36" high. Pardon the mess - I'm a pig. (Sorry pigs)
The table is really sturdy. It’s my new chop station in my small kitchen. All in all I’m very satisfied with it, but I do have some complaints.1. There were a couple of gouges in the wood in less noticeable areas.2. The drawer is almost useless. It’s too small for the tracks so one side is always higher than the other and the other side is almost out of the tracks. It’s impossible to open and shut easily. I don’t need more drawers so it wasn’t an issue for me. But buyer beware.3. Putting it together was a lot of work and very time consuming. It’s almost impossible to do alone. The instructions are pretty confusing and some of the connector knob things were smashed and almost didn’t fit in the corresponding holes.I really liked that they included wood glue with the product, and it really is a sturdy product. There are just a few flaws that all should be aware of when buying.
Instructions were pretty clear but nothing written. It was several illustrations going step by step. The shipping box was really heavy and was torn up pretty bad but product was well protected. We put it together in a little over an hour. Used a strap in the first step to hold pieces together while assembling the remainder of the cart. Yes it took both of us to assemble and a Phillis screw driver and a small rubber headed hammer. Hex tool was adiquate for most of screws. Cart is very sturdy and solidly built. All pieces fit like they were supposed to. Drop down leaves fit to top nicely with no gap. Top comes assembled so box was longer than we thought it should be.
I love this cart! I wanted more counter space in a fairly small kitchen. It took me forever to find one that had drop leaves on each side and then I found this. I was worried it would be made of cheap materials because of the cost. It's not! The materials are far above what I expected.I am almost 70 and I weigh 109 lbs, yet I was able to put this together myself. There is one step that would have been much easier with two people, but I found a way to work around that. It is the step where you attach the top of the cupboard portion which is also the base of the small opening. However, I was able to balance this heavy board with the two drawer ends while I got the screws in to the opposite side. Sounds a little confusing, but when you get the kitchen cart and begin putting it together you'll understand what I mean.At first when I looked at the directions I thought, "great, no wordage, just pictures", but the pictures were well drawn and easy to understand. Would definitely recommend this item!
