I bought this computer cart to use as my mobile "command center" for my mancave to do my freelance graphic design work as well as my gaming. It's a nice mobile computer cart - particle board except maybe the top piece. Easy to put together despite the crappy instructions; took about 30-45 mins to assemble. Only complaint is that they didn't include screws to attach the keyboard drawer handle. Also the space for the keyboard and mouse are better suited for wireless which I refuse to use so I'll have to drill slots in the backer for the wires to pass through. Not a big deal. Really like this computer cart! Great color and wheels are high quality.
I actually bought this to be a mobile craft table. It was easy to put together, and very heavy and sturdy. I would say I roll around about 65 pounds on this with no wobbling or the feeling like it is going to break as I roll it from room to room. I am not using the shelf, so I can't attest to the strength of that, but the piece that belongs there is also thick and well made. The drawer is very sturdy as well, with no worries when I have it pulled all the way out and am working on it. When I first received it, one of the drawer slides was damaged and the company had a new one sent within days. I have been very happy with this purchase the quality of it.
I bought this to use as a printer cart for a large, heavy professional graphics printer I have. And it does hold the printer (on top) just fine but it's taller than my desk so it looks weird to have it in my small home office area. Perhaps if it's used on its own, that would be a non-issue. My only other comment is that some of the pieces arrived with visible damage - and not due to shipping. The packaging was all perfectly intact so I was surprised that some of the laminate edges were frayed (for lack of a better description). I guess I'll have to take a wood tone marker over those spots to try to blend them in with the rest of the cart.
Now have five, yes 5, of these carts and really like them for their sturdiness and open construction which allows easy access, front, rear and side for any housed components. The first one that I received was solid Beechwood, but the second one was compressed wood. I was very disappointed with the compressed wood, because the construction was obviously not the same quality as the solid Beechwood. Then, I found the solid Beechwood advertised from a different source and ordered and received it for a total of two solid Beechwood's and one composite wood. So, I decided to order two more of the solid Beechwood versions, but alas, two composite wood versions arrived. After e-mail exchanges, I was informed that the Manufacturer no longer produced the solid Beechwood version, and the composite wood version was the only one available. I agreed to keep the two most recent composite wood versions in exchange for a refund in the price difference. Four stars for the composite wood version, because it is just not quite the quality of the solid Beechwood. Yes, I do have four computers located in different rooms and another setup for my wireless router, printer and broadband modem on the fifth cart. With these carts, I can move computers around with ease. Just be aware that the solid Beechwood version is apparently no longer available, and the composite wood version is less in price.
While it did take a while to unpack and assemble, the final result was a good solid piece of furniture that fits in well with other furnishings. The item is substantial (60 lbs delivery weight), but my impression is that it will long outlast cheaper carts. The casters are sized perfectly and a welcome addition as the cart needed to roll between hardwood floors and an area rug. The look of the finished cart is better than I expected. The keyboard drawer is solid and hides the keyboard and mouse well. This cart is better suited for those with a wireless keyboard and mouse as it would be difficult to route the cables under the top and into the well protected drawer. All parts were clearly labeled (a rarity when it comes to "some assembly required") and packaged in separate bags making assembly as painless as possible (you should still give yourself a good hour to put it together). Overall, I am very happy with the sturdy and clean design.
